Breaking the Waves by Missy Mazzoli with libretto by Royce Vavrek premiered at Philadelphia Opera in 2016. The opera is based on the movie from 1996 by Lars von Trier. Ylva Kihlberg now directs the Scandinavian premiere at Vadstena Akademien, Sweden.
